Equator Initiative
The Equator Initiative, a joint initiative between UNDP, IDRC, TVE and UNF, has been designed to support the World Summit on Sustainable Development and the Convention on Biological Diversity. Middle East Desalination Research Center
Located in Oman, the MEDRC is an international organization dedicated to basic and applied research in desalination technology.  The Center  seeks to bring together scientists, engineers, water policy-makers and water system ooperators in the Arab region to work on areas of research that will reduce the cost of desalination technology.  
   
Middle East Sub-Regional Database on Desertification
The objective of this website is to make the database developed on Desertification widely accessible for both future storage and retrieval primarily by all the parties to the Middle East Peace process and secondarily by all interested parties in the region as well as globally. The website will help to provide updated information readily available to users at all levels; community leaders, extension officers, educators, planners and decision-makers. It will also allow regional input of additional relevant information and facilitate communication among parties involved in combating desertification and service regional initiatives.

Training Center for Natural Resources Conservation (TCNRC)
The intention of the centre is to provide training for the Saudi Arabian National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development (NCWCD) staff to build its capacity in the field of wildlife conservation.  Also, the Centre has managed to design and execute more than 30 specialized training courses in various aspects of environmental management and awareness.
