Energy & Environment
The Energy and Environment services at SURF-AS are provided to UNDP COs in the Arab States through regular referrals assistance in addition to substantive assistance provided through DDC and GEF regional Offices.
UNDP's Drylands Development Centre specializes in assisting countries to fight poverty and encourage development in the drier parts of the world.
The GEF helps developing countries fund projects and programmes that protect the global environment. GEF grants support projects related to biodiversity, climate change, international waters, land degradation, the ozone layer, and persistent organic pollutants.
